# How often does the FAB meet, and how are the minutes published?

Topic: Communication with Supporters

From September 2026 the FAB meets every six weeks, online on Microsoft Teams, with Thursdays preferred to avoid Tuesday fixtures. Before that it met roughly monthly while the group was established. The change was agreed at the [September 2026 meeting](https://images.gc.barnsleyfcservices.co.uk/74ab62d0-b04f-11f1-92c1-33d9855aa291.pdf) after a mixed discussion: some members wanted to keep monthly meetings to maintain momentum, others pointed out that most clubs' boards meet every two to three months and that recurring items could be batched. Dates are published on the [Meetings page](/meetings).

Minutes are drafted from a transcript of the meeting, then checked and corrected by the club before they are signed off and published on the club website and here. That sign-off step is why a set of minutes can take a while to appear. The August 2026 minutes were delayed because the meeting was held in a hybrid format and the transcript could not reliably tell speakers apart, so the draft needed substantial correction at a time when club staff were stretched by the transfer window. Since then meetings are held fully as video calls, and every set of minutes carries the date it was approved and the date it was published so supporters can see where any delay sits ([minutes of 8 September 2026](https://images.gc.barnsleyfcservices.co.uk/74ab62d0-b04f-11f1-92c1-33d9855aa291.pdf)).

Minutes are also a formal record: previous minutes are agreed at the start of each meeting, and where a meeting is not quorate the minutes say so and are taken on a discussion basis ([minutes of 12 February 2026](https://images.gc.barnsleyfcservices.co.uk/9e254a10-099f-11f1-92d2-939f6afef598.pdf)).
