About the Fan Advisory Board

The Barnsley FC Fan Advisory Board (FAB) serves as a vital bridge between supporters and the club's leadership. Established to ensure fan voices are heard at the highest level, we work collaboratively with the club to enhance the supporter experience and maintain the strong connection between Barnsley FC and its community.

Our role includes providing structured feedback on club initiatives, representing diverse fan perspectives, and contributing to decisions that affect supporters. From matchday experience to ticket pricing, from community engagement to long-term strategy, the FAB ensures fan interests are central to club discussions.

We meet regularly with club executives and board members, maintaining open channels of communication to address supporter concerns and suggestions. Our members represent various supporter groups and demographics, ensuring comprehensive representation of our fan base.

representing women and girls

FAB.womengirls@barnsleyfc.co.uk

I’m a lifelong fan and have had a season ticket since the premiership promotion season. I’m also a member of the committee at AFC Pogmoor which has a high number of girls teams and an open age ladies’ team. I also attend a lot of away games. I’ve seen a vast change in the attitudes towards women and girls in football since I started coming to matches, but there is still a long way to go.

Representing diversity and community

FAB.inclusion@barnsleyfc.co.uk

The club is part of the community, and everyone should have the ability to be involved, regardless of race, religion, age, or ability. Volunteering with the Community Trust and the Hospital commentaries helps me to connect with a broad range of supporters, and I aim to do all I can to help Barnsley FC be an inclusive, community club.

Representing disabled supporters

FAB.disability@barnsleyfc.co.uk

As I have been voted to be an advocate for people with disabilities, I would like to represent a group of people with issues and obstacles similar to my own. This will be a learning curve not only for myself but for all those involved. I will ensure that all those I represent will have a voice. Due to my sight loss, I would like to introduce myself in a face-to-face meeting with all disabled supporters.

Representing supporters living away

FAB.livingaway@barnsleyfc.co.uk

I am grateful to the Fans Advisory Board to accept me as one of their members. Being a lifelong BFC supporter for over 60 years, I was brought up living on Dodworth Road before moving away from Barnsley at the age of 18. I have regularly travelled to watch the Reds from locations as far afield as Folkestone, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire, where I now live. Over the years I have been through so many good and bad times with the club, but they are still my number one passion. I believe I have the experience to champion the fans living away from the locality.

Representing youth and children

FAB.youth@barnsleyfc.co.uk

I am very grateful to be able to accept the Youth and Children role on the Barnsley FC Fans Advisory Board. Being 17, I believe I'm in a good position to understand the children and youth of the club. During my time on the board, I want to connect with the youth of the club and understand how they want the club to move forward. I would also want to speak to parents and see where they see the club with children in mind.

Representing club sponsors and hospitality

FAB.hospitality@barnsleyfc.co.uk

I would like to firstly thank the people that voted me into position, I am hoping my passion and vision shone through for our club. While I have been accepted on the board to represent the hospitality and sponsors of the club, I also think I can do more than that. I see the position enabling better communication between the club and supporters, and also to ensure regular contact with the leadership team to ensure we hold them account for the things that aren’t going in right direction, although I believe that this should be less this season.
